Thumbs Up, Inc.
We presented Thumbs Up with $13 200 on a sunny afternoon. This wonderful program will use these funds for the operational needs of students participating in this program. They also hope to find a part-time social worker and assistant.
American Association of University Women – Beaufort
A wonderful collection of women joined forces to promote STEM workshops for middle school-age girls. AAUW Beaufort received $11,000 to support efforts to steer these young women towards Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math careers.

Family Promise
We were so pleased to award $11,400 to Family Promise of Beaufort, our fourth quarter recipient of 2021. This organization strives to provide temporary shelter, family stability, and permanent housing solutions for homeless families with children.
Under One Roof
Our third-quarter recipient, Under One Roof, received $10,900 from us. This brings our grand total to $349,900. Under One Roof has a goal to help at least 15 low-income senior homeowners stay in their homes with repairs and modifications done by Under One Roof.

Dragon Boat Beaufort
Our April recipient, Dragon Boat Beaufort, received $11,300 for their cancer patients’ wellness program. This all-volunteer organization had to cancel their popular Dragon Boat Festival in 2020 due to COVID-19 and now needs funds to help supplement financial support for vetted cancer patients.

St. Francis Center
On a sunny Wednesday were able to present $11,600 to the St. Francis Center. This non-profit offers services to the community such as a food pantry, tutoring, and financial assistance (e.g., water, electricity, medicine.)
HELP of Beaufort
On December 7th, 2020 a group met at HELP of Beaufort to present them with $11,500. Since February, their number of applicants has increased by 50%! This year they are in a new building on Ribault and have found this to be a blessing. Only cash donations and grants fund this all-encompassing organization.
The Extra Mile Club
On a socially distanced afternoon on the waterfront, we were happy to present The Extra Mile Club with $12,100. This organization provides opportunities for youths, such as mentoring and tutoring. They also encourage service projects and strength training for participants. They will use the funds for operational expenses and travel.
The Lions Club of Beaufort
What an inspiring evening we had with the Beaufort Lions Club! We presented them with checks totaling $12,600. They will be using this money to screen children not only for sight but also for hearing. We also heard a wonderful speech from a woman who had received glasses from The Lions Club and heard about how amazing her world is now that she can see.
