At our April 9th meeting, we heard presentations from Karen McDowell (Friends of Shanklin), Josie Olsvig (HELP of Beaufort), Sandra Atkins (Beazer’s Bountiful Baskets), and Barbara Childs (Extra Mile Club.) The organization chosen was Friends of Shanklin.

2023 CIVITAS Award Recipient
At the 2023 Civitas Awards Banquet, sponsored by Beaufort’s Regional Chamber of Commerce, we received “The Caretaker Award.” 100 Women Who Care Beaufort is honored to be a part of the community that has supported local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations since 2015.
October 2023 Meeting
At our October meeting, members heard presentations from Ann Munger (The Helianthus Project), Barbara Berry (Lowcountry Legal Volunteers), and Karen McDowell (Extra Mile Club.)
Voting revealed that the organization chosen to receive funds was Lowcountry Legal Volunteers.

On April 11th, we held our second meeting of 2023.
January 2023 Meeting
On January 11th, we had our first meeting of 2023 and celebrated giving over $400,000 in funds to organizations in Northern Beaufort County since 2015.
Good Neighbor Medical Clinic
Good Neighbor Medical Clinic, in existence since 2017, plans on using our gift of $13,100 to continue to provide a medical home for patients.
October 2022 Meeting
On October 11th, we held our final meeting of 2022. Four members gave wonderful presentations for their nominated organizations. The organization chosen was Good Neighbor Medical Clinic.
Low Country Hope House
Low Country Hope House received $12,800 from 100 Women Who Care Beaufort in anticipation of purchasing a second women’s sober living home. This organization is founded and run by people in recovery who support long term recovery for men and women.
Thumbs Up, Inc.
We presented Thumbs Up with $13 200 on a sunny afternoon. This wonderful program will use these funds for the operational needs of students participating in this program. They also hope to find a part-time social worker and assistant.
