Nominating an organization is simple, but it does require a little preparation in advance.  Fortunately, filling out the required Nomination Form prepares you with all of the information you need if you’re selected to make a presentation!

In order for an organization to be nominated, it must:

  1. Be a local 501c3 nonprofit organization or utilize the 501c3 status of a local community foundation.
  2. Ensure funds will be spent in Northern Beaufort County (north of Argent Road).
  3. Not be a religious or political entity.  We do not fund projects related to partisan politics or elections nor do we fund religious organizations (although grants may be made to support non-religious programs provided through these organizations).
  4. Have a one-year financial history.
  5.  Previous organizations who were awarded a donation have a waiting period of three years before they are eligible to receive a donation again.
