Low Country Hope House received $12,800 from 100 Women Who Care Beaufort in anticipation of purchasing a second women’s sober living home. This organization is founded and run by people in recovery who support long term recovery for men and women.
On April 12, 2022 we had our first in-person meeting since 2020. We welcomed 24 new members and heard three inspiring presentations. Thumbs Up, Inc. was our chosen recipient for this quarter.
Thanks to the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation, our October 2021 recipient Family Promise will receive an additional $5,000 due to their matching grants program.
A wonderful collection of women joined forces to promote STEM workshops for middle school-age girls. AAUW Beaufort received $11,000 to support efforts to steer these young women towards Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math careers.
