On December 7th, 2020 a group met at HELP of Beaufort to present them with $11,500. Since February, their number of applicants has increased by 50%! This year they are in a new building on Ribault and have found this to be a blessing. Only cash donations and grants fund this all-encompassing organization.

The Extra Mile Club
On a socially distanced afternoon on the waterfront, we were happy to present The Extra Mile Club with $12,100. This organization provides opportunities for youths, such as mentoring and tutoring. They also encourage service projects and strength training for participants. They will use the funds for operational expenses and travel.
The Lions Club of Beaufort
What an inspiring evening we had with the Beaufort Lions Club! We presented them with checks totaling $12,600. They will be using this money to screen children not only for sight but also for hearing. We also heard a wonderful speech from a woman who had received glasses from The Lions Club and heard about how amazing her world is now that she can see.
2020 Marks Year Six
Our January meeting celebrated a great five years and the continuing success of 100 Women Who Care Beaufort.

$13,000 Presented to Good Neighbor Free Clinic
100WWC Beaufort presented $13,000 to Good Neighbor Free Clinic on December 10th. They provide skilled medical care to low-income, uninsured adults. The funds given will be used to provide patient care supplies and prescribed medications.

Check Presented to Friends of Shanklin
On September 13th, a check in the amount of $12,600 was presented to Rick McGill, President of Friends of Shanklin and Elizabeth Rivera, Principal of Shanklin Elementary School. Also present were members of 100 Women Who Care Beaufort and members of Friends of Shanklin who joined in the celebration outside of the school in front of their lighthouse.
Friends of Shanklin’s mission is to provide both financial and human resource support to the Joseph S. Shanklin Elementary School. Their goals are to:
- Advance students’ educational capabilities and leadership skills
- Facilitate a positive learning environment
- Foster a collective community of people who care by working together with Shanklin parents, teachers, adminstrators, and PTO.

Check Presented to Low Country Hope House
Low Country Hope House Board Members and members of 100 Women Who Care Beaufort enjoy a beautiful day. They are celebrating coming together to assist those in northern Beaufort County gain freedom from alcohol and drug addiction through long term recovery homes and comprehensive education provided by Hope House.
